VISION DENMARK is a business alliance that will accelerate the visual storytelling and entertainment industry by bringing together producers and suppliers of creative technology.
The association is founded by Nordisk Film, SYBO Games, Unity, The Animation Workshop / VIA University College, Interactive Denmark, Producentforeningen, Filmby Aarhus / Den Vestdanske Filmpulje, FilmFyn and Copenhagen Film Fund.
Our vision is that in 10 years' time Danish business will be a global front runner in the development, use and export of digital visual solutions and that Denmark shall be one of the world's powerhouses – a Center of Digital Excellence – in creative business based on visual experiences and storytelling.
"We have initiated the Vision Denmark alliance because we want to put Denmark on the world map. We will unite all Danish visual producers and connect them with other industries and with new technologies."
"You have to boost the Danish media industry – partly because you can – and also because it's a very good idea. There's a lot of business in it."
"My vision is that in 10-15 years, we will have built an industry worthy of the same recognition we receive for our Greentech and on our architecture. Now we need to create some framework conditions that can accelerate this because speed is of the essence. There are a lot of people around the world who are certainly having the same thoughts.”
"Denmark is in a very good position to capitalise on the digital revolution we face. We have both strong professional competencies in IT and programming and also outstanding creative competencies."
"There's plenty of business in it. Turnover on games have topped 100 billion USD per annum globally, and if we add the film industry on top of that, we will exceed 200 billion USD in revenue per annum. And that is a turnover, which increases by 8-9% year on year.”
"We have great ambitions. We will double the employment, and increase the revenues to 10 mia. DKK over the next five years. Among other things by attracting 1 mia. DKK in foreign investments."
