Folkemødet – the people’s democratic festival on the island of Bornholm.

Vision Denmark visited Folkemødet in Allinge on the island of Bornholm under the theme ‘The Future’s Labor Market’ Friday the 14th of June 2019.

This year Vision Denmark attended Folkemødet to discuss the future labour market and the digital visual industry’s role in it.
Rapid signs of progress within automation, such as Artificial Intelligence and advanced robotics, are beginning to make an impact on markets and societies globally, which has sparked a new debate on the future labour market.

The discussion was centred around how we need to work in new ways where complete solutions, product customization and storytelling are core issues. On one hand, there is a need for higher specialization and on the other an increase in the understanding of a global world and integrated corporation between different sectors and disciplines. Digital competencies will play a key role here.

In the future, Denmark should live of original ideas, high production value, human intelligence and an effective production system. Life long learning will become a keyword, where more and more people will become familiar with new technology. We wish to discuss these issues with professionals and innovation pioneers.

The event will take place in the Egmont tent.
